Villagers participate in AR security meet

Pothashang News Service : Imphal, February 27, 2018: The 11 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter 26 Sector Assam Rifles organised a meeting on “Community Security” at Chavangphai village, Moreh yesterday. The meeting was held to discuss issues of mutual importance for the security of all communities in the village and society.

Chief and secretary of the village attended the meeting with a total strength of 47 which included 17 males, 22 females and eight children. The meeting discussed various issues like security infrastructure development, promoting sports and recruitment into Indian armed forces. All the villagers were satisfied by the discussion and unanimously desired such meetings to be a regular feature since they promote mutual understanding and friendly relations between the Assam Rifles and the local populace as well as amongst all the communities thriving in Moreh, said a press release by IGAR (S).
