Ringui’s Got talent kicks off
Pothashang News Service : Imphal, March 2nd 2018: Ringui’s Got Talent, session 4 kicks off on Thursday at hotel Classic Grande under the theme, “Win hard.. or die trying”. It was organised and sponsored by Dewdrops under Ringui Luira Phanit cum Cultural festival.
Seven candidates performed live in the preliminary round. Participants exhibited their performance through media. The selected participants were given entry cards. The next audition will take place in Ukhrul on March 3 and the third audition on March 5 at Ringui, Ukhrul.
Convener Raising said that Tangkhul youths are gifted with diverse talents and potentials remained largely untapped. “We are bringing this event to create a place for them to prove their worth for the platform-starved youths of the district” he added.
The talent hunt is hope to wean away from the scourge of drugs, apart from creating awareness about HIV/AIDS, Raising said.
The talents search are mainly based on singing, dance, painting or magic, as it is a platform for all to take their talents and skills to a higher level.
This event will go on for two weeks and the grand finale falls on March 13 at Ringui village. The winner will be awarded with Rs. 50,000, runners up with Rs. 20,000, and second runner up with Rs. 10,000 . Gift hampers and certificates will be given as consolation prizes for the finalists.
