Off-Town Yaoshang underway

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 3rd 2018: Miyam—the people today launched its 2-day “Off Town Yaoshang” celebration at Yaripok Angtha Maning Leikai on the occasion of World Wild Life Day.

The celebration aims to connect the people of towns and villages to learn about the Angtha village.   It has a list of events like tree plantation, kite flying, camping, hiking, musical concert, horse riding, photo exhibition, charity ride for the orphan, etc.

Venkat Yumnam, event manager said forest wood collection is the source of income of the people here and we discuss on the alternative source of livelihood with people out here.

The Off-Town Yaoshang is organised with the support of five clubs of five villages, added Venkat.

Angtha Pradhan Thiyam Manihal was the chief guest of the opening day.
