12 thousand WY in a lady’s rice cooker found

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 11, 2018: 12 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (South) apprehended one lady drug peddler with 12,000 WY tablets worth approximately Rs. 60 lakhs at Khudengthabi check post yesterday.

It was at around 11: 45 am, a silver coloured Maruti Eeco bearing Registration number NL01 H 9550 was stopped for checking at Khudengthabi check post travelling from Moreh to Imphal.

While frisking the passengers and thorough checking of their baggage, 12,000 WY tablets were found hidden inside a rice cooker of one of the passengers, Thianglhim Vaiphei ,4, wife of Malsawm Vaiphei residence of Gamnom Veng Binda Part 3, Moreh Tengnoupal district. Recovered items along with the apprehended person were handed over to Police Station Moreh, said IGAR (S) statement.
