Drug trader arrested with drug and cash

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 12, 2018: District police arrested a drug trader along with two kilo opium with a cash of Rs. 1, 74, 000 (drug sales return) while he was ferrying the drug in Churchandpur on Sunday.

A police team trapped a black car bearing registration number MNO2B 8567 and found Rs. 1, 74,000 in the car. The man in the car was Md Nazir ahmed, 43, resident of Kwakta, Bishnupur district. He revealed the police that the money with him was the collected from selling 2 kg of opium.

Acting on his disclosure the police team was able to recover the sold opium from Lamminthang, 27, resident of Boljol village, Churchandpur.

The two were formally arrested and seized the opium, the cash and the car.
