Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 15, 2018: The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has boycotted MLA Samuel Jendai for insulting journalist using offensive language during inspection of the district sports complex on Wednesday.

A press statement released by AMWJU said the Tamanglong District Working Journalists Union (TADWJU) gave the information. The MLA, according to TADWJU, used the rude language in the presence of a minister and other personalities hurting the sentiments of the local reporters to a great extent.

AMWJU has strongly condemned the indecent manner and the unbecoming attitude of a legislature like him, said the statement.

As sought by TADWJU, AMWJU also demands MLA Jendai to tender a formal apology to the Temenglong scribes.

Taking in the account that the incident has equally insulted the media community of the state the journalists unions have boycotted MLA Jendai until he brings an amicable solution with TADWJU, said the statement.
