Congress hopes back to power in Manipur

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 23, 2018: Congress media in charge and spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala has said the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has resolved to bring back Congress government in Manipur in a meeting with the party president Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by former deputy chief minister Gaikhangam Gangmei and MLA Kh. Joykishan, MLA Govindas Konthoujam, MLA A. Mirabai Devi, MLA K. Ranjit Singh, Chaltolian Amo, MLA Th. Lokeshwar Singh, MLA N. Loken Singh, MLA Henry Okram, MLA Surjakumar Okram among others.
Joykishan said the meeting resolved to fight the present unconstitutional BJP-led government to bring back a Congress led government.
Joykishan assured that necessary help will be given to state congress in order to bring the party in majority, as Rahul also asked senior Congress leaders to co-operate and help Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) at the level best.
A senior AICC secretary will also be deputed to look after the issue of parliamentary secretaries and disqualification of defected MLAs, Joykishan added.
