Congress fasts a day

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 9, 2018: Members of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has joined the rest of the country taking a one-day fast in a sit-in organised in front of its office complex here urging the BJP governments to stop killing of innocent people, maintain harmony and save democracy as par the constitution.

“We take up this one-day fast to save Indian constitution and the judiciary, to make the autonomous bodies like election commission and union public service commission meaningful. BJP and RSS has controlled over the nation and brought about Undeclared Emergency in the nation. They cheated the people”, said MPCC president TN Haokip.

Former deputy chief minister Gaikhangam said, “The Constitution give equal right to every citizen, the depressed class are discriminated in India. It has been as if there is no law in the BJP governance, which is the rule of tyranny. Congress strongly condemns the atrocities towards the people while claiming for their right”, said former deputy CM, Gaikhangam.
