UP government handed over Pravish Chanam case to CBI
Imphal, April 09, 2018 (DIPR): The Uttar Pradesh Government has handed over the death of Pravish Chanam case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The copies of reference/documents regarding the handover of the Pravish Chanam Case to CBI by the UP Government have been received by the Government of Manipur.
Mentioned may be made that, in the letter dated April 6th 2018, the Chief Secretary of Manipur Dr. J. Suresh Babu had sent a reminder to his UP counterpart Shri Rajive Kumar to send the copies of reference to the Government of Manipur.
It may be recalled that after the last meeting with the family members of Pravish Chanam on April 3rd 2018 at Chief Minister’s secretariat, the Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh had a telephonic talk with the UP Chief Minister in which the latter informed him that the case has already been handed over to CBI.
