Two more Rohingyas arrested

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 10: Two more illegal Rohingya immigrants has been arrested today from the Indo-Mynamar border town Moreh during police drive against unauthorised stay of immigrants at the border.

The two arrested immigrants were a couple, identified as Md. Shobik, 26, son of Md.Faisal Haque of Buthidaung village and his wife Arofa, 24, residents of Buthidaung village, Rakhine state, Myanmar. They are at present residing at Moreh ward no.5, Tengnoupal district. They were arrested for staying in India illegally with no valid documents allowing to stay.

The couple has been arrested after three Rhohingyas including a lady were arrested on April 7 from the border town. Out of the three were human traffickers and the other one was for not possessing valid documents.
