BJP fasts protesting against Congress

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 12, 2018: BJP Manipur Pradesh today joined the rest of the nation on the one-day “Fast to save Indian Democracy” demonstrating against Congress and opposition parties for ‘disrupting the parliament and impeding country’s development’.

A sit-in rally was held in front of the BJP office in the heart of Imphal. MP Prahlad Singh Patel, in-charge of BJP Manipur was at the protest.

“Being in the ruling or in the opposition does not have difference in making the nation strong. BJP stands for the nation. Our duty is to waken the people”, said Prahlad.

Manipur MP, RS, Ksh. Bhabananda said, “Making chaos by the Congress led opposition groups at the parliament where the issues on people’s welfare are discussed is unfortunate. Because of the disruption in the parliament nine important bills including Sports University bill, Manipur were not passed.”

The protest rally was also held at Tamenglong.
