CILPS gives three days to vacate fruit mongers from Dharmasala

Pothashang News Sercice: Imphal, April 25, 2018: Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has cautioned the government to drive out the fruiterers from Dharmasala in three daysultimatum, failure of which JCILPS volunteers will remove the fruiterers by force.

Convenor of JCILPS student’s wing, Manjit Sarangthem gave the ultimatum during a drive conducted today by conglomerate JCILPS members at Khwairamband Bazar area.

He asks the state how the fruiterers in front of Bhairodan Maxwell Hindi Primary School, Imphal were given permission in the congested area inside the heart of the city. The single mistake of the state in the past is creating congestion problems in the heart of Imphal.

Women street vendors Khwairamband markets are chased away for congesting the road but the non-local fruiterers at the place are allowed to market in the congested area. Why is it so? Asked the student leader.

It is questionable if the state, police and IMC are collecting illegal taxes from the fruiterers that they are conducting their business freely in the congested heart of the Imphal city he added.
