Three department staged sit-in-protest for demand of 7th pay commission

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 25, 2018: As the cease work strike demanding for implementation of 7th has completed thirty five days, three departments staged sit-in.

Employees of department of town planning, command area development and social welfare staged the protest.

An employee of command area development department, Ali said the state should implement 7th pay commission immediately. He said the department will support every step of JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO until the central pay scale is recommended by the state government.

Another employee, from the social welfare department, Tokyo said most of the price of essential commodities in the state have rising sky-high which is inappropriate with the present salary of the employees.
