Women bio-fertilizer producers conferred women entrepreneur of the Year

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 28, 2018: The directors of Green Biotech Ecosolutions Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Ashem Sundari Devi and Geetashori Yumnam, have were conferred with Vasundhara NE women entrepreneur of the Year for Manipur award for the year 2016-2017 in New Delhi on April 26.

Both the winner directors said “We feel privileged that our hard work and efforts are recognised at the national level.”

Geetashori Yumnam is the daughter of Yumnam Gambhir singh and Leibaklei devi of Naoremthong and Dr. Asem Sundari Devi is the daughter of Asem Tombi Singh and Leibaklotpi devi of Sagolband Tera Akham Leikai.

Their green company is an organic input manufacturing company named, located at Lamsang Laingmkhul Spinning Mill Road, lmphal West. The company was established in 2014. It has opened a unit in Guwahati besides the main office and a branch in Imphal.

The company manufactures and marketing bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides. Moreover they produced mushroom spawns and also provide soil testing facility, free consultation on organic farming to farmers.

As women entrepreneurs it is a proud moment for us as this reward proves that women can achieve anything if we strive for a goal. This platform also gave us the opportunities to meet various delegates who assured to provide a market linkage opportunity for our green biotech products, says the duo.

The program was initiated by Sreemanta Sankar Mission of Guwahati, a charity organisation set up in 1986 to identify, highlight and recognised the exceptional talent of the hardworking woman entrepreneurs of Northeast India.

Vasundhara – NE Women Entrepreneur annually conferred on eight nominated women entrepreneurs from each state of NE India. Besides the winner, 7 top notch women entrepreneurs from each of the remaining 7 states were also felicitated.

Seventeen women entrepreneurs from the Northeast were conferred with the Vasundhara award.
