YAF feeds homeless Mahavali monkeys

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 7, 2018: Yening Animal Foundation (YAF) today fed fruits and eatables to the monkeys who left their home, Mahavali temple complex.

Almost all the monkeys have been outside the temple complex since last 5-6 days.

“The monkeys which were inside the Mahavali temple campus have come out of the campus. The reason could be of devotees’ less visit which lessens food offering to the animals, or may be of natural reason or of any threat to the animals”, said a member of YAF.

The members of YAF have also met the members of the temple committee to find out ways for the welfare of the monkeys that are still staying nearby the temple. Some of them are missing.

“We will also help the committee to provide medical aid to the monkeys if they become sick”, said chairman of YAF, Sapna Laishram.
