State police nabs PREPAK cadres in connection with Koirengei Blast

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 11, 2018: State police has arrested five PREPAK members associated with the Koirengei blast that killed two BSF Jawans and three civilians including two ladies. 4 truckloads timber seized

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 11, 2018: 39 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) caught four trucks of timber being illegally transported from Joupi to Imphal in Manipur. Loktak fishermen counters LDA over pollution

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 11, 2018: The All Loktak Lake Areas Fishermen’s Union Manipur (ALLAFUM) strongly condemns the press statement made by Loktak Development Authority (LDA) on May 4 with regard to conservation of cultural heritage, ecosystem management and control of catchment area, water pollution including removal of Phumdis. SDO disperses 7th Central Pay demand demonstrators

Pothashang News Service : Imphal, May 11, 2018: Sub-divisional officer (SDO), Imphal East today dispersed employees who were demonstrating in demand for 7th Central Pay at SDO office, Porompat, Imphal East for not seeking permission. While the administrative office employees of Imphal East were staging sit-in rally the SDO dispersed the employees and halted the protest. Later, some of the  employees gathered back and continued the protest for a short while. Out of 105 government departments more than eighty per cent has already staged protests demanding the central pay scale.
