Jayantakumar promises modern infrastructure

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, May 15, 2018: Health minister L. Jayantakumar Singh said the General Nurse and Midwifery Training School at Churachandpur will be modernized in tune with the changing times, addressing  at the Lamp lighting and Capping Ceremony after inaugurating a skill Lab at the training school today.

The minister said, the state government will provide the necessary infrastructure at the earliest.

He added that the role of the nurse in the society is well known to all. Dedication and sincerity of the nurses are the imminent qualities of a nurse. The nurses should take care of the patients with love and affection. Sometimes, they also take the role of a doctor. Considering it, they have a bigger responsibility, minister asserted.

As long as human civilization exists, malady will be there. It is the duty of the doctors and nurses to take care of the patients. People in this profession should maintain professional ethics. The students who are taking oath today should perform better to uplift this profession. The Nurses should never neglect their duties, he added.

Jayantakumar also inspected anti-natal care, neo-natal care, nursing station, tutors’ room, dining hall, etc., along with the campus of the School.

Agriculture minister V. Hangkhanlian said Nursing is an ideal profession and nurses should possess the qualities of love and compassion. He assured that the present government will try to improve the existing Nursing School.

Functional president, director, health Dr. K. Rajo said the nurses are taking a big role in the healthcare service.T

The students also presented a special song as a part of the function.
