Training to face disaster

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 4, 2018: A one-day training cum awareness generation programme on disaster management was organized at Panchayat Hall, Bishnupur Mini-Secretariat campus today, by Disaster Management Institute and relief and disaster management.

The trainers under the leadership of Namita, relief and disaster training officer and Okram Achou Singh, team commander of state disaster relief force, Manipur demonstrated and exhibited the tools and equipment  employed during disasters and their uses.

Dr. Roma Bai, ADHYAKSHA, Bishnupur Zilla Parishad emphasized on the importance of basic intervention techniques on disaster management as it spares no one. Pawan Yadav, the deputy commissioner also highlighted the benefits the training will bring forth through the skills acquired when there is any natural or man-made disaster.

Pawan Yadav, deputy commissioner, K. Lalithambigai, SDO/ Bishnupur, Bobo Chandam, SDO/ Nambol and district level officers of Bishnupur attended the training.
