Governor declares two more flood holidays

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, Jun 14, 2018: Governor Najma Heptulla today declared holidays on Thursday and Friday for all government offices and educational institutions including public sector undertakings, corporations, and autonomous bodies in all the valley districts under the government of Manipur on account of the prevailing flood situation in the state.

Yesterday was also declared holiday.

Police department, fire service, water resource, health and family welfare departments and hospitals, revenue department, PWD, PHED, municipalities, deputy commissioners and SDOs offices are not included.

The declaration came after announcing ‘Alert of flood and landslide’ predicting that heavy rainfall may continue till Friday as per the Indian meteorological department.

The governor also announced holidays for banks and financial institutions on these two days.
