Relief materials distributed in Bishnupur
Pothashang New Service: Bishnupur, June 14, 2018: Deputy commissioner Pawan Yadav provided relief materials including rice, oil, pulses and other items to the flood affected people sheltered in 3 different camps. He was assisted by ADC, N. Gojendro Meitei, SDC, Sanasam Dhiren, CMO Ng. Jayenta Singh and other officials from the district administration.
The DC has also advised the general public not to venture out to any water sources and to remain alert at all times to minimize losses occurring due to the rain. He also issued instructions to the District Disaster Management Authority to be fully prepared and to be on standby mode round the clock to meet any eventuality in consultation with all the SDOs, SDCs and concerned Armed Forces in the area. He also requested the people to inform any incident of landslide/flood to the DDMA to facilitate immediate response.
It may be mentioned that district administration has set up relief camps at Nambol Sabal Leikai, Nambol Awang and Maibam Chingmang and gives shelter to 21, 26 and 20 households respectively.
