State leaders greet on Eid-ul-Fitr

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 15, 2018: Governor Najma Heptulla today greeted the people of Manipur ‘especially to the Muslim brethren’ on the ocassion of the Eid-ul-Fitr .

Najama in her greetings said this holy festival follows the Ramadan period and it is celebrated in the spirit of peace, love and universal brotherhood. The message of the Eid-ul-Fitr is relevant today more than ever when there is mistrust and turmoil all around, she added.

“Let us celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with a firm fath in the almighty….while celebrating the festival. Let us remember that the world is one big family and resolve to work together for a peaceful and prosperous society,” said the governor.

Chief minister N. Biren Singh and deputy chief minister Y. Joykumar yesterday greeted the people on the occasion with the message of love, brotherhood, peace and harmony in the state.

Minister Th. Biswajit Singh in his greetings said that he extends his heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur and especially our Muslim brethren on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. “I express my sincere hope that the day would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood among the people of the state,” he added.

Minister Th. Shymakumar in his greetings on the occasion said, “May blessings of Allah light up your way and lead you to external happiness, success and peace. I firmly believe that this festival will bolster peace, brotherhood and happiness in the state.”
