Sub-registrar posted by lucky draw

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 25, 2018: Sub-deputy collector of Sagolmang, Imphal East has been posted as sub-registrar of Imphal West DC office by lucky draw system conducted at the revenue minister Karam Shyam’s office on Monday.

The lucky draw was held in presence of the minister, revenue secretary T Ranjit and deputy secretary Y. Rajen and other officials.

Minister Shyam highlighted that he wants to support the initiative and steps taken up by   Manipur chief minister Biren Singh of opening Anti-Corruption Cell and promoting transparency in governance.

He said the lucky draw was held for maintaining transperancy in posting.

Four other contenders for the post were Bhungba Maibam, branch officer, DC Imphal West; Pangambam Yaitongba Singh, AS and  SO, department of settlement and  land reforms; Lukram Herojit, SDC, Keirao, Bitra and Yaiphaba Longjam, SDC(Headquarter), DC Imphal East. They were selected on the basis of reports of their performance, work integrity and service ethics submitted by their concerned higher officials.

Pointing out that the main objective was to focus on the significance of minimisation in corruption in transfer and postings of government officials in the state, the minister said if the officials work with utmost sincerity, it will help to generate maximum income for the state. He also reminded that he already stated that he is fully set on posting responsible persons compatible with their respective posts during a last meeting held at Lamphel on December 4, last year.

He stated that SDCs should work honestly in state interest and produce effective results.

Shyam congratulated the newly posted sub-registrar Imphal West Maibam Suranjoy on his appointment and suggested him to work honestly in public interest without corruption and serve for the betterment of the future generations of Manipur.
