NAB nabs two with 7. 52 kg Brown Sugar

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, June 28, 2018: Narcotic and Affairs of Border (NAB) Manipur on Thursday arrested two drug traffickers at Sapermeina bazaar in Imphal West with 7.52 kg of Brown Sugar.

They were identified as Longjam Tomchou Meitei, 49, son of L. Iboton Meitei of Koirengei Bazar, Achanbigei and Yummnam Ibotomba Meitei, 54, son of  late Y. Bira Meitei of Kongampat Awang Leikai, Imphal West.

Superintendent of Police, NAB, W. Basu Singh said one Maruti Wagon R Car silver in colour and bearing registration No. AS01 BG/1493, a sum of Rs. 15,260 and other incriminating articles were also seized from their possession.

The value of the seized drug is Rs 80 lakh in local market. A case has been registered at NAB Police station and investigation is going on, added the officer.
