MUSU imposes 48-hr general strike
Pothashang News Service: Imphal, July 16m 2018: Manipur University Student’s Union, intensifying its agitation demanding the removal of Manipur University vice-chancellor Adiya Prasad Pandey, has imposed a 48-hr general strike from July 17 midnight till July 19 midnight.
The authorities concerned remain indifferent to our demand. Our primary demand is removal of Pandey from the vice-chancellor’s post. A high-level independent enquiry committee should be constituted to investigate to the allegations made to him, demanded the varsity students’ body.
“As our demand is ignored we are left with no choice but to intensify our movement”, said M. Dayaman, president MUSU.
