Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign launched
Pothashang News Service: Imphal, September 15, 2018: “Swachhta Hi Seva Hai” Clean India Mission on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off in Imphal this morning with involvement Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh, national general secretary BJP Ram Madhav and MP Ksh.Bhabananda.
The cleanliness drive was also attended by MAHUD minister Th. Shyamkumar, works minister Th. Bishyajit, officials of the state government, volunteers and vendors of the Khwairamband Ima Keithel.
A mass rally converging to YPA Hall from Tuibong Forest gate and Launching of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign were simultaneously conducted today at YPA Hall, HiangtamLamka, Churachandpur.
The event, which brought together over 500 Students from different schools and DLOs from different line departments took pledge on the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign. Attending the launching programme of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign Shri Shyam Lal Poonia IAS, DC Churachandpur urged that the campaign is a nationwide cleanliness movement where every Churachandpurians has a role in ensuring their surroundings clean. ‘Aim high, work hard and achieve your goal’ said the Deputy Commissioner encouraging the Students while pondering on Right to Education (RTE).
K Kabib, IPS, Sr. SP Churachandpur, TK Simte, MCS, CEO ADC Churachandpur, S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, MCS AC-I, Ginmuan Ngaihte, MCS AC-II, Hatneilhing Shoute, EE (PHED) and other DLOs of the district attended the event.
It was also organized in Chandel. Deputy commissioner Chandel, Krishna Kumar, launched ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign at DC HQ complex, Chandel. It was organized by NYK, Chandel. The program was attended by SP, Chandel, Angam Kamei Romanus, addl. deputy commissioner, Chandel, Dr. A. Chinglenkhomba Meetei, SDO, Chandel, Ksh.
