2nd Manipur Rifles celebrates 57th raising day
Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 1, 2018 : 2nd Battalion Manipur Rifles today celebrated its 57th Raising day at the battalion Head-Quarter at Kabow Leikai in Imphal East.
Flag of the battalion was hoisted by commandant P. Manjit Singh and inspected the unit hospital, unit school, family lines and jawan barrack of the battalion and interacted with the officers of the unit.
Manjit told reporters that for the last 57 years the personnel of the Manipur Rifles have been working day and night to maintain the law and order situation of the state.
He said the personnel of the Manipur Rifles have also been taking a major role on escort duty, vip’s and vvip’s protection and many counter insurgency operation under the various outgoing commanding officers. All these are because of their disciplines and dedication to their work and hope they will continue to do the same in the coming days and near future, he added.
Manjit appeals the state security personnel to work with sincerity to be one of the favorite and preferred forces of the state like by the general public and civilians.
Manjit also credited the success of the battalion of 2nd Manipur Rifles to the sincerity and courage of the senior officers, jawans and the JCOs.
Officers of the battalion of Manipur Rifles and family members took part in the event.
