Cop aspirants warn ‘intensive’ agitation

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, December 3, 2018: Joint Action Committee (JAC) 2013 Police Constable Rejected Candidate of Manipur Police Constable 2013 Batch has cautioned to launch intensive form of agitations if the government fails to response positively to their demand by December 5.

The committee demanded the government to revoke rejection of the 3052 constable candidates who had already cleared and qualified in the recruitment test saying that they have been waiting for over 5 years.

Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal, Y. Kiran Singh, joint secretary of the JAC strongly condemning said, they will not accept the government decision for rejecting the 3052 candidates at the last moment of the result is to declare while they had been waiting for the last 5 years.

“Don’t play politics in police constable recruitment. We cannot accept the rejection of the candidates who have already cleared recruitment test,” Kiran said.

Y. Kiren drawing the attention of chief minister N. Biren Singh demanded immediate action against the then chairman of the selection committee Th. Radheshyam who is now education minister and the board members and ‘those who had been misleading the candidates’.

If the government fails to sort out a positive response by December 5, the committee has prepared to carry out intense form of agitation from the very moment, Y. Kiran warns.
