Speaker plea for quality medicine

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, December 23, 2018: Manipur Speaker Yumnam Khemchand has urged to maintain a policy to make available quality medicines in the Manipur saying that as medicine comes in need from birth to death.

Khemchand was speaking at the 2nd Medical Representatives Convention held at Indian Medical Association (IMA) Hall at Lamphel, Imphal today. It was organised by Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives’ Union (CRU), Imphal.

The Speaker maintained that the initiative taken up by various states for a fix salary for the medical representatives starting from the minimum wages as per government policy through State Gadget.

Though he is not among the decision making committee of the state government and inappropriate to give clearance about the fix salary for the medical representative, Khemchand said, he will extend support at his level best for the welfare of the medical representatives of Manipur.

General secretary of CRU, Oinam Prabin Khuman said, the union was form to clear the misunderstanding and to avoid establishment of bad image of the  member of the medical representatives of the state and to let know that there is an organization called CRU for the welfare for their members.

There are 320 members of CRU affiliated to FMRAH and CITU and for these members there is need to support their hard work and work together to maintain good relation, Prabin said.
