Left coordination committee protested against bill

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 11, 2019: The Left Coordination Committee, Manipur today organised a protest meeting at Irabot Bhawan complex in Imphal and took out a rally in the city demanding withdrawal of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019.

Left Coordination Committee, Manipur is comprised of CPI, CPI (M), RSP and Forward Block.

The committee is joining the people in the region to protest against the bill. The issue came up while we have been facing problem of influx. What will be fate of Manipur and North East, said L. Sotinkumar, chairman Left Coordination Committee, Manipur.

Manipur and North East are burning. Withdraw the bill said CPI leader, M. Nara.

The BJP-led government should immediately summon state Assembly to discuss on the people’s voice against the bill. People do not believe in the government as it has not been listening to the voice of the people over Naga accord, inner line permit system, border issue, etc, he added

This time people and CPI will not remain silent against the authoritarian, undemocratic, communal and fascistic government. They should be taught a lesson, said Nara.
