R.K. Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya celebrates Silver Jubilee

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 19, 2019: Silver Jubilee of R.K. Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya was today celebrated at the school campus at Haotal, Pangei in Imphal East.

An art and craft exhibition was opened at the school campus; teachers and contributors who have been associating with the Vidyalaya were also honoured in the celebration.

Deputy chief minister Y. Joykumar  Singh said development of a society depends on development of human resource. Among the resources which are the parameters of development, human resource is one of the most important one. Imparting quality education to the younger generation for a better future is the aspect through which lots of efforts have been made from various quarters of society.

Emphasising the need to impart quality education to the young minds, Joykumar Singh said, education is not merely the academic achievements but also to build character and develop personality by imparting skills and knowledge of sports and culture and moral lessons.

 He appreciated the efforts made by the vidyalaya in imparting quality education to the girls contributing in the human resource development of the state.

Expressing concern over the increasing culture of private tuition in the state, Joykumar said classroom teaching will be helpful if students can take time and digest what they learnt at the classrooms to their homes. They should be given enough time to digest and enjoying their studies.

Vice-chairperson of R.K. Sanatombi Devi Educational Institutions T. Asha Devi said an honest and strong partnership with a holistic approach between teachers, students and parents will lead to develop human resource in the state.

It is in this direction that the group has been working for the last many years and will continue in future too, she added.
