Trinamool Congress assures for a new Manipur

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 15, 2019: All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) observer, Biswajit Dev assured that the party will support the demand for recommendation of Meitei and meetei in the schedule tribe list while assuring to bring a new developed Manipur if the party is elected in the coming Lok Sabha parliamentary election.

Biswajit was addressing at a news conference held today at Gandhi Memorial hall, Imphal.

In the state seven MLAs have been elected in the state so far and have been in the opposition party with the aim to bring development in the state. In the coming Lok Sabha parliamentary the party will bring out candidate of inner parliamentary Lok Sabha election and candidate for outer parliamentary segment would also bring after discussion at Kolkata along with the party leaders, he said.

Under the leadership of Mamata Benerjee  West Bengal has become a model state, likewise if the people elect the party candidate in the upcoming election AITC will bring development in the state that the former and present government have failed to bring in the past years, he added.

He said the party take serious consideration against special arms act where Central government are utilising against the interest of the people. Central government had been trying to implement the draconian act Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 but with the initiatives of various civil bodies, student bodies including political parties failed to table on the floor of Rajya Sabha. During the moment the party had also took main role against the bill by being in opposition bench in Parliament, he said.

Bishwajit urged the people of the state to elect the candidate of the party in the upcoming election to bring a well developed Manipur and AITC will firmly stand on the interest of the people in the future.

He also said the candidate of the party will be announced soon after discussing at national level.
