Neroca FC champion 61st Sir Churachand Singh KCSI-CBE Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2019

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 10, 2019: Neroca FC lifted the champion title of the 61st Sir Churachand Singh KCSI-CBE Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2019 played at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

The final match saw Hero I-League team Neroca FC had a field day against Sagolband United as the former makes a mincement of the latter by 7-0 goals to romp home with ease. Chencho Gyeltshen struck four goals while Aryn Glen William fetch three goals for the wholesome victory.

Neroca FC walked away with Rs 5 lakhs along with the gold plated trophy while Sagolband United had to content with the runners up title with 2.5 lakhs with the trophy. The final Man of the Match award was bagged by Aryn Glen Williams of Neroca FC along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 while the best striker of the final match was won by Chencho Gyeltson of Neroca FC with Rs 15,000.
The best player of the tournament was bagged by Singam Subash of Neroca FC who also adjudged the Footballer of the Year trophy of the year. Subash went richer by Rs 20,000 from the dual title. The Women Footballer of the Year was claimed by international striker Ng. Bala Devi who was feted with Rs 10,000 along with trophy.

The best young player trophy was bagged by Ng. Naocha of TRAU while Md. Abdul Salam of Neroca FC got the best defender title, N. Tondonba also of Neroca FC pick up the best midfielder award. The best referee of the meet was won by national referee L. Priyobrata Singh, the best assistant referee was won by Rinkahao Vashum, who is an assistant FIFA referee.

The All Manipur Football Association also awarded N.Shivananda Singh, AFC’B’ License as best Male Coach of the Year while L.Chaoba Devi as best Women Coach of the Year.
