Twin blasts injures one

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 22, 2019: One person was injured when two hand grenades simultaneously blasted today evening near Minuthong, Imphal.

The grenades were blasted at around 7: 25 pm. One of them blasted inside the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) campus near the gate. The other one was blasted at a distance of about 50 metres away from MMTA campus gate towards Khuman Lampak stadium on the road.

The injured persons has been identified as Konsam Santoshkumar, 44, resident of Khurai Konsam Leikai. He has been hospitalised at Raj Medicity.

Santoshkumar was injured at his forearm at right thigh.

He said he was driving his car towards Khuman Lampak when the bombs blasted.

He is a lecturer at Churachand Higher Secondary School.

The splinter of the grenade hit the right side of the car. Another car was also partially damaged by the blast.
