People demands clarification over blast near Khurai MLA residence

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, July 5, 2019: People of Khurai Assembly Constituency has demanded to disclose identity of the miscreants who were responsible in the blast that triggered near the residence of their MLA Leishangthem Susindro on Thursday.
Demanding immediate clarification and identity from the miscreants who triggered  the bomb BJP  Khurai Mandal staged a sit-in at Lamlong.
On the same note another sit-in was also staged in front of the residence of the MLA.
They said such act of threatening people should not be repeated.
 “We strongly condemn the blast near the residence of our MLA who has been working hard for the welfare of the people of the Constituency. Organisation or individuals who were involved in the blast should clarify immediately”, vice-president of BJP Khurai Mandal Salam Arun said.
“If there is any misunderstanding with the MLA please negotiate for a peaceful solution”, said a woman protestor.
She asked who would be responsible if the blast had resulted human casualty. “The miscreants should identify their identity and give reason for the bomb threat by  tomorrow, if failed people will rise up to take up general strikes and bandhs”, she added.
The bomb suspected to be an IED was exploded at about 3. 50 pm at Khurai Sajor Leikai, Imphal East at the western side of Susindro’s residence.
Chief minister N. Biren had on Thursday said the incident might be related with the issue on monitoring distribution of rice under National food Security Act.
Government has been monitoring each beneficiary by performing getting biometrics record so that no one can skip to get the benefit. Recently MLA, Susindro highlighted to the public about the beneficiary imposters and to point out so that to get equal benefit, he added.
He said the case will be handed over to NIA and he also instructed DGP to do so. Biren assured the culprit will be booked at the earliest.
