One stop centre – wayside amenities
Churachandpur, September 16, 2019: State Agriculture Minister V Hangkhanlian has today inaugurated “SAKHI-ONE STOP CENTRE” at Vimala Raina Hr. Secondary School in the District which was followed by inauguration of WAYSIDE AMENITIES with a total cost of Rs. 41.73 Lakh under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under funding from NEC, Shillong, Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India at Mata, Churachandpur.
Speaking on the occasion, V Hangkhanlian expressed his happiness on the developments of ONE STOP CENTRE which are intended to support women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status, race and culture. Sakhi Centres would also offer integrated services like medical, legal, psycho-social and temporary shelter under one roof, stated the Minister. He continued that Poshan Maah intends to improve nutritional status of children up to 6 years, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers wherein healthy minds creates healthy body. He also urged the people of the district to kick-start a plastic free campaign so that the district is free from plastic waste. The Minister appealed the public and concerned stakeholders to extend maximum co-operation to facilitate the newly inaugurated Wayside Amenities to serve their respective intended services.
The Deputy Commissioner Shri Pawan Yadav said Ayushman Bharat has two components i.e. treatment and preventive measures. Deprived sections on the SECC list 2011 can be covered a medical treatment amounting to Rupees 5 Lakh and the second component being conversion of PHC to Health & Wellness Centre, asserted the DC.
