Biren visits children home on Modi’s birthday

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, September 17, 2019: In connection with the celebration of the 69th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh distributed sweetmeats and donated sports kits to the inmates of Children Home, Dewlahland run by Mahila Kalyan Samiti on Tuesday.

Biren was accompanied by MSPCL and LDA Chairman L. Sushindro, MLAs Awangbou Newmai and Khashim Vashum during the visit.

The chief minister told the children that he visited them to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with them. Though Modi belonged to a humble background, he sacrificed himself in the service of the nation and became the Prime Minister of this vast country, he added.

Biren encouraged the children to be hard working, focussed and determined so that they may achieve their aim in life. He also asked them to extend best wishes to the Prime Minister on his birthday.
