50 more gold biscuits seized

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 14, 2019: Officers of Customs Preventive Force, Moreh, Customs Division, Imphal seized 50 gold biscuits of foreign origin from the possession of a lady on Thursday.

The Gold biscuits weigh 8300 grams. They were seized from the possession of Tingkholam of Moreh, near Indo-Myanmar Friendship Gate (Gate No.2) / Moreh, Tengnoupal district.

The seized gold biscuits valued at Rs. 3,16,14,700. A case has been registered and further investigation of the case is going on, assistant commissioner, Customs Division, Imphal, Modoli Daso said.

This seizure came after seizure of 30 gold biscuits from North Sekamai along Imphal-Dimapur road on Wednesday.
