Education department distributes 327 appointment orders

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, November 27, 2019: A total of 327  appointment orders of government aided schools were distributed on Wednesday at department of education (schools) campus, Lamphelpat, here.

The distribution function was graced by education minister Thokchom Radheshyam as chief guest.

Radheshyam said the total sanction post is 1687 whereas the total number of vacancies is 387. However, 327 appointment orders includes 137 graduate teacher, 168 primary teacher, 9 primary teacher (Hindi) and 13 as lower division clerk. He also exhorted the teachers to perform their duty diligently in the days to come and maintained cordial relation with the students.

He said the performance of the government aided schools is praiseworthy. The teachers have performed their duty well in imparting education to the students. He urged the teachers community to abstain themselves from filing case pertaining to promotion and strike which could delay in smooth functioning of the Department. He also suggested of conducting exam for promotion for those eligible rather than of seniority.

The function was attended by director, department of education (S)Thokchom Kirankumar, concerned officials and teachers.
