Two arrested with seizure of Brown Sugar production materials
Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 16, 2020: Manipur police has arrested two persons in connection with production of Brown Sugar and seized materials used in production of the drug.
They were identified as Md. Rashid Ali, 32, son of Md. Kheiruddin of Moijing Awang Leikai and Md. Firoj Khan, 39, son of Md. Ajijur Rahaman of Yairipok Kekru Makha Leikai.
Rashid Ali was apprehended from Tangjeng and Firoz Khan was apprehended from Yairipok Lamkhai.
A team of thoubal police commando apprehended Rashid Ali on Wednesday along with one Alto car, without proper documents, bearing registration number MNO 5J 0079 which has been suspected to be used in drug smuggling cases. He disclosed the police that his elder brother Md. Abbas Ahamad alias Masatana, 35, along with his associates Md. Imran, 28, son of Md. Ziauddin of Lilong Leihaokhong Leinung Hotel and Md. Firoj Khan, 39, son of Md. Ajijur Rahaman of Yairipok Kekru Makha Leikai have been involved in vehicle thefts, illegal manufacturing of Heroin brown sugar, transportation of chemicals used in it and financing in such illegal activities.
Police recovered some equipment and chemicals used in brown sugar manufacturing which were kept concealed by Md. Abbas Ahamad at Arapti Komla Ingkhol.
Md. Abbas Ahamad and Md. Imran are still evading police arrest. A case has been registered at Thoubal police station.
