Blast in Imphal injures girl

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, January 23, 2020: An early morning blast in the heart of Imphal along the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences road injured a minor girl on Thursday.

The blast took place at around 4: 55 am in front of a shop ahead of the Republic Day March Past rehearsal that passed through Kangla road which is about half a kilometer away from the blast site.

State security force has been alert in Imphal since the past few days in connection with the upcoming Republic Day celebration.

So far till the finding of this report no organisation or individual has claimed responsible of the blast and the cause of the blast is uncertain.

The injured girl, 10 years old, was taken to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences.  She was hit by a glass pane splitted by the impact of the blast.
