AR conducts soft skill development programme in Kamjong

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, February 5, 2020: Chassad Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted Soft Skill Development Training Programme as a part of Assam Rifles Civic Action Program from January 30 till February 5 at Lhingkim Memorial Academy School, Chassad, Kamjong distrcit.

A total of 28 participants attended the week long training programme.

The training was aimed at imbibing employability skills in youth of Kamjong district so that they can capitalise on the various job opportunities available to the youth of today, Assam Rifles said in a statement released on Wednesday.

The youth were also groomed on smart dressing, dining etiquettes and interview practices.There was enthusiastic participation from the remote villages of Kamjong district which included Sampui, Chassad, Pihang, Aishi, Kultuk, Lakhan, Maokot and Kamjong.

The programme culminated with distribution of certificates to all participants and a local feast organised by Kuki Students Organisation at Lhingkim Memorial Academy School, Chassad. The participants have conveyed their heartfelt gratitude for conducting such an enterprising event for the youth of Kamjong District which will certainly help them towards a better future and prospective life, Assam Rifles said.
