Altogether 59,481 students will be appearing in the upcoming COHSEM class XI and XII exam

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, February 8, 2020: The Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) Friday announced that altogether 59, 481 students from both higher secondary education and Class XI will be appearing in the upcoming higher secondary education and Class XI examination, 2020, which is going to be commenced from February 14 and 17 till March 23 and 26, 2020.

The statement was made by Chairman of COHSEM Dr. L. Mahendra Singh during a press meet held at Conference Hall of COHSEM, Babupara on Friday.

Addressing media persons, Dr. L Mahendra Singh said, in the upcoming higher secondary education examination 2020, students numbering 29, 144 will be appearing in three streams like, science, arts and commerce. Out of the total number of students, 20, 369 are students of science stream, out of which 10, 490 are males and 9, 879 are females. The total number of students in arts stream are 8, 065, out of which 4, 025 are males and 4040 are females and total students in commerce stream are 710, out of which 410 are males and 307 are females.

He further said that students numbering 30, 0337 will be appearing in the upcoming Class XI examination, 2020. Out of the total students, 20, 785 are science stream, out of which 10, 460 are males and 10, 325 are females. The students which is going to appear in arts stream are 8, 885, out of the total number of students 4371 are males and 4, 480 are females and last but not the least, 701 students are commerce stream, out of the 701, 382 are males and 319 are females.

He also further said that the upcoming examination will be conducting in 101 centres in 14 districts out of 16 districts of Manipur. He believed that all the S.O, O.C, Invigilators and students organization will follow the do’s and don’ts of the council in order to conduct the examination with peace and without any unwanted incidents. Minister of Education Th. Radheshyam has taking up his tireless effort speaking to related departments like, administration and law enforcing agency and others so that to conduct the upcoming examination in peace and harmony in every centres.

Commissioner of education(s) T. Ranjit Singh, Director of Education(s) Th. Kirankumar Singh and other officials of education department monitoring and speaking to related examination officials for the upcoming examination in order to conduct the examination in peace and with true spirit of examination.
