Eight students expelled on the first day of board exam

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, February 17, 2020: Eight students were expelled from five exam centres on the first day of High School Leaving Certificate examinations conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Manipur.

One student each of Lamdangmei High School, Khoupum and Thangal High School, Nungba were expelled from the exam centre at Tenkhojang Higher Secondary School, Noney. Two  students of Khelakhing Khongjil High Madrassa and one from Ehsas Standard English High School, Mayang Imphal from Pisakmacha Bidya Mandir centre. One student each of St. Stephen English School, Hiyangthang, Songpao Lhingat Memorial High School, Sapermeina, Irabot High School Ukhongshang from exam centres at Kumari High School, Hiyangthang, Morning Star English School and Sekmai Kumbi High School respectively.

English was the paper of the first day.

The HSLC Exam 2020 began on Monday. A total of 38,664 students including 19,824 female candidates are appearing the exam at 140 centers.

The state board appreciated all stakeholders for extending cooperation for smooth and fair conduct of the exam.
