BoSEM cautions to expel candidates possessing micro-lettered notes in exam

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, February 19, 2020: Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BoSEM) has cautioned to expel candidates who possess micro-lettered notes that tally with questions in the ongoing HSLC examinations conducted by the board.

Chairman of the board Th. Kirankumar, in a press statement released on Wednesday said it has brought to the knowledge of the board that micro lettered notes are found prevalent in some examination centres with some students.

“The board viewed such unethical and unfair practices seriously and henceforth decided that during examinations conducted by the board, any candidates who are found in possession of such unauthorized paper
containing the answers partly or wholly tallying with question numbers of the
paper of the concerned subject inside the examination room be expelled
immediately without any warning,” the statement said

The Board shall also initiate actions, deem fit, against all persons involved in such malpractices, it added.

The Manipue HSLC exam began on Monday. A total of 38,664 students including 19,824 female candidates are appearing the exam at 140 centers.
