Lilong Markaz attendee exposes many to COVID-19

Pothashang News Service: April 2, 2020: COVID-19 Common Control Room, Government of Manipur has released name of 31 individuals who were on the same Air India flight on 11th March 2020 from New Delhi to Imphal with the COVID-19 positive Markaz attendee from Lilong. According to a press release, he was seated on seat number 8D of the flight.

It requested those individuals to immediately contact COVID-19 Common Control Room at 1800-345-3818 and share their details.

On the other hand, reliable sources revealed that the man after returning from Delhi on 11th March was hospitalised at Peace Hospital and Research Institute at Porompat Muslim road from 20th to 22nd March 2020 due to fever, Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) and other ailments. Authorities are tracking Doctors and Nurses who had attended him in the hospital, the source said.

It may be mentioned that an area in Lilong from Jama Majid Road in north to Ngangou Road/Buya Salam Road in the south and NH 102 on the east to Imphal River on the west was sealed on Thursday by an order issued by DC Thoubal, N. Bandana Devi.

People in the area will also be tested for COVID-19, the source added.
