Caution to boycott election

Villagers of 51-Saitu constituency has warned to boycott election at the constituency if the election authority does not correct the irregularities in the voters list.
The villagers say the recently released voters list includes those who had already shifted to another constituency. Fake voters with fake photos are attached and minors are included in the list with fake birth certificate complains the villagers.
Talking to the reporters here at Manipur Press Club today, Lethang Kipgen, chief of Manamzang village said 80 % of the voters in the list do not belong to the 250 villages of the constituency.
On December 14 last, the village leaders had made a complaint to DC, Senapati on the increase in the number of voters which has now mounted to around 4,000.
Ex minister, Haokholet Kipgen who is also national vice president of the BJP Schedule Tribe Morcha yesterday submitted a memorandum to the state chief election officer and election commission of India. The memorandum drew the attention of the concerned to delete the polling station of 51/62 Loibol Khunou UJB School and also to delete the fake electors which are included without documents and scrutiny the concerned ERO of 51-Saitu constituency.
The memorandum pointed out that no school under the Sadar Hill Autonomous District Council and zonal education officer, Kangpokpi had been established in the name of Loibol Khunou USB School. But in the recently released list 51/62 Loibol Khunou UJB School was included.
