Hockey Union, Lairikyengbam Leikai beat Khongman Students Club by 7-3 goals in the senior men Manipur Hockey League 2017 played at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium.

Both team put up a tough fight in the first half play but Hockey Union takes the advantages with 2-1 goals lead. M.Sanjoymani Singh put ahead Hockey Union i 4 minute of play and later Kh.Rinel consolidates in the 16 minute. However Thoungamba chip home with Khongam first goal in the 17 minute.

But the later stages of the game saw Hockey Union taking complete control of the proceddings with M.Sanjoymani bringing up his hattrick scoring in the 37 and 48 minute, H.Amarjit fetching two goal in 36 and 56 minute and A.Suresh with a goal in 40 minute. As for Khongman team, Bhasker in the 38 minute and John in the 59 minute struck but not enough to save the match.

In another match, Social Youth Union Club got the better of Moral Education Intellectual Renascent Athletic Association by 5-3 goals. L.Mantosh scored two goals while K.Deveshor, N.Ribingson and Robert Moirangthem fetch a goal each for Social Youth team. As for Moral Education team, N.Diken, Th.Ingalemba and S.Jungson scored a goal each.
