Cyclone Thangmeiband beat Chajing Cricket Club by 11 runs in the 5th Twenty-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2016-17 played at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School ground.

Cyclone Thangmeiband batted first putting up 128 runs for 7 wickets from 20 overs with Thoithoi Singh hitting 25 runs while Sashikumar Singh got 24 runs to steady the innings. Brojen Singh with 24 runs, Arun Singh with 19 runs and Bikom Singh with 10 runs were the other contributors. Among Chajing bolwer, Ranbir Singh grabbed 3 wickets while Rakesh Singh fetcheds 2 wicket.

Cyclone bowler Surjit Singh spearheaded the attack claiming 4 wickets to restrict Chajing batsman to 117 runs for 9 wickets from 20 over. Chajing batsman Md.Akbar and Rakesh Singh hit 20 runs each while Krishna got 10 runs but ran out of overs for the defeat today. Cyclone bowler Surjit Singh got the man of the match for his 4 wicket haul.
