57 Mountain Division Polo tournament

Khurai Polo Club riders outplayed Eastern Students Club by 9-1 goals to moves into the semi final of 7th 57th Mtn Division Polo Tournament 2017 played at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium.

Khurai Polo team had a whale of time as struck at will hitting home five goal in the half time. Making a full throtle ride in the match, Khurai got the opening goal from N.Homi Achumi and later L.Thomson and K.Jogindro consolidates with a goal each to post 3-0 goals lead in the first chukker. Managing the ground well, Khurai dig further in the second chukker, Khurai races ahead with N.Homi Achumi and L.Thomson hit home a goal each to make it 5-0 goals.

However in the third chukker Eastern Students Club, shedding the apprehension of ground condition due to last night shower, they got the breakthrough when Th. Momocha came up with the lone goal, which was turn out to be their last in the game as well. Undeterred by the goal, Khurai tightens their grip and it was T.Roshan who quickfire two goal to showcased 7-1 goals. The fourth chukker saw, Khurai riders pumping home two more goals from K.Jogindro and O. Rojer for the victory enroute to the semi final.

In the other matches, Imphal Riding Club drubbed Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club(A) by 7-0 goals to sails into the quarter final of the meet. Imphal Riding Club riders struck at regular interval with L.Abinath striking five goals while Leishemba and H.Basanta fetch a goal each for the win.

K&M Memorial Riding School edge out Meiraba Polo Club by 6-3 goals to booked their berth to the last eight stages of the tournament. M.Chaoba scored four goals while N.Anish and S.Jamson chip in with a goal each for K&M Memorial team. As for Meiraba team, K.Inaotomba, K.Romeo and M.Devnath fetch a goal each but not enough and had to make a sad exit from the meet.
