Champ Khagempalli registered 55 runs win against PSC Khuyathong in the 1st MCA-T-20 Luwangpokpa Trophy 2017 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

The champ team had a slow start but Alai and Kenedy steadied the innings hitting 34 runs and 30 runs respectively to put their team to a respectable total of 139 for 6 wicket from 20 overs. Bonny came up with 26 runs.

Among the PSC bowler Gautam was the highest wicket taker claiming 4 wicket while Kala and Tenao chip in with a wicket each.

PSC Khuyathong too felt under pressure from tight spell from Champ bowler, managing just 84 runs for 6 wicket as they ran short of over. Gautam remain unbeaten at 23 runs while Ozzy got 21 runs and Jiran fetch 13 runs. Champ bowler Sunder, Gulson claimed a 2 wicket each while Kennedy and Rajesh fetch a wicket each. Kenedy of Champ claimed the man of the match for his 30 runs and 1 wicket.

In another match, Model Club pull off a narrow win over Napsa Kha Imphal by 2 runs. Al Bashid topscored with 43 runs while Iboyaima got 15 runs and Tejkumar fetch 13 runs to post 98 runs for 5 wicket from 20 overs. Napsa bowler Simon grabbed 2 wicket while Mathew and Prameshwor took a wicket each.

Simon and Premananda steadied the middle order of Napsa Kha Imphal innings scoring 24 runs and 23 runs and managed to get just 96 runs on the board for 6 wicket from 20 overs. Ranjan remain not out with 19 runs. Model bowler Mangi and Bishorjit fetch a wicket each. Al Basid got the man of the match for his 43 runs knock.

Veteran Cricket

Cyclone Thangmeiband beat Chajing Cricket Club by 3 wickets in the 14th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2016-17 played at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School ground, Imphal West.

Batting first, Chajing Cricket Club scored 102 runs for 9 wicket from 30 over with Pupu scoring 17 runs among the run getter. Cyclone bowler Bikom claimed a hattrick while Robindro and Binoy took 2 wicket.

In reply, Cyclone reached the target in 23.3 over losing 7 wicket in the process. Roben struck 26 runs while Stanlee got 18 runs to pave way for the victory. Chajing bowler Sanjit, Akbar Khan and Ranbir claimed 2 wicket each. Cyclone bowler Bikom claime a hattrick.
